I am an aspiring writer. I like to write poetry and prose and sometimes essays. I am currently working on a 50 page novel. My favourite writers are Jeff Noon and William Gibson. I am very descriptive, but find it hard to come up with plots. Anyone else write for fun?

I used to write quite descriptive diary entries, but I don't do it anymore. I don't have anything to write about, it's like my emotional life has completely disappeared...!

I think it's great that you have ambitions in writing! Are you going to try to get it published when you are done?

Yes, I would like to be published. A good technique to is to get a flow, you write what first comes into your mind, that way you can get rid of the 'block'.

Yeah I've tried that technique, it works it really well! Something I will do sometimes is put some music on that doesn't have singing and just write whatever comes to mind.

If we speak about writing, that I am an grapfomaniac. I wrote things about history all my live. In young years I tried to make history books but actually finished one, which was called "Human". I made unfinished "World history Atlass" with my own made maps "Encyclopedia of Latvian History", "Old Russia", "Biographies of Russian Communist Party Leaders" and some others. When got my own computer I wrote a large doc essays about WWI and WWII and Arab-Israeli conflict. When I got myself in University I could finally wrote an academic works which someone would read. Many of my works gained good scores and one even was published. But in summer during holidays for three moths I found myself still willing to write more and found out an thing called "blog". That's a really interesting blog. I have actually had a interest in Russian and European History since I was younger.

I have a blog as well, it's on blogspot. It is really just my ramblings on a variety of subjects, plus some open ended prose and poetry.
