Tests

I am currently taking the necessary tests to see if I have any 'dissorders'. Did the TAT test today which is a little odd. Havent finished it yet though, and she wants to a different one next week, but she will not tell me what it is incase I llok it up on the net :tongueincheek:

That should be interesting. Who's giving you these tests, a psychiatrist?

Be sure to let us know of the results!

A psychologist is giving the tests, I have to have about 5 in all..over a 5 week period. The psychologist is very nice, private and not too expensive, money doesnt seem to be an issue with her either. She was a referal frm the first Psychologist I called. I will post as I go.. :)

5 tests? That's a lot. I've never been given any sort of test for psychological assessment.

I'm glad you decided to do something about it and see a shrink, teacher!

It was on the cards, I just took my time a little. Something wasnt quite right about the first one I was going to see, she had moved fare away ect, then I thought that it would be a advert or something I would see that would make me finally get started.

I saw one but then the lady I phoned was on holiday and referred me to someone else, she is actually very nice...so I will keep you all posted. So you never did the TAT test then?

I recently did a stress/anxiety test with my psychologist as well. I'm sure I'll score somewhere in the middle.

Well my psychologist seems to think I suffer from neurosis...not really sure what that means. Apparently left untreated it can turn into phsychosis, so maybe I have headed to the warning signs just in time. She also said I seem to suffer from depression. I always knew I wasnt the life and soul of the party, but I can be, just to paranoid at what people might say though..he he..not feeling too good really about it all...neurosis..sounds so pathetic..

So is she going to give you a diagnosis, or is she happy with just saying neurosis?

She said I dont appear to have anything significant and wants to work on the neurosis., and apparent depression and lack of self esteem...(deep breath..lol) ..so I am gonna stick around just in case anything else crops up. And to be honest, you all inspire me...I would miss you...hope no one objects...;)
