Seroquel

Postby mgcklyntz on Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:05 pm

I was prescribed seroquel today. They didn't diagnos me unfortunately, instead they only deal with the symtpoms where I am going currently. I was wondering if seroquel is a good drug for the symptoms of schizotypal disorder. If anyone has any suggestions or info on this drug and its usefullness in dealing with SPD then please let me know.

Hi Klyntz,

I'm on Abilify and have never tried Seroquel. But a few people I know with schizotypal disoder have been/are on it. Their experiences have been mixed as far as side-effects goes. I'm nor sure if they think it is working, haven't asked.

Do you know what you are being prescribed Seroquel for? (Paranoia/delusions/etc?) I'm on Abilify because of ruminations which sometimes become delusion-like, and strange perceptual experiences, and so far it is working great.

I haven't heard anyone else mention Seroquel on this site though.

They are giving it to me for paranoia, anxiety and aggitation. I think. At least that's what they told me.

Heya!

I take Seroquel and it is supposed to help me against my hallucinations, anxiety, loneliness and my confusion. It does what it is supposed to but it also makes it very hard for me to get up in the morning, I am tired and i am seriously addicted to that stuff. If i dont take my medicine I get hyper and i cant sleep.

Seroquel is still quite a new invention, thats why not so many people take it.

I take 'seroquel' prolong which just makes the tablets effect longer, but it really is the same stuff as the normal seroquel.

The rules with seroquel are: No drinking, no grape fruit juice.
