Omega 3's - do they work?

Postby cmj on Mon Sep 01, 2008 11:06 am

I just bought myself a huge bottle of Omega 3,6 and 9.

Has anyone else tried it? Do you feel any difference?

I eat Omega3 and I think I feel a difference. I feel more "awake" or something. But I don't know if it's the pills or just psychological.

I've actually seen a few studies suggesting that Omega 3's and 6's can be part of a treatment for schizophrenic illnesses. They're still doing the research, though.

Here are a few links:

Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid concentrations in red blood cell membranes relate to schizotypal traits in healthy adults.

@ sonytech: I am from Europe, and I'd rather not be more specific if you know what I mean?! I'm too paranoid ;)

Why don't you introduce yourself in the "introductions" forum, give everyone a chance to say hello?

Thanks! I think I've noticed some changes, like my head is more clear or something. But maybe I'm just making it up...

I take Omega 3 fish capsules. They may have a minute effect in making me feel less depressed I think, but I often forget to take them. I started taking them about 4 months ago when I was stressed and becoming very paranoid and obsessive about little things and I am now much better. So there may be some truth in taking these supplements.
