the new kid

Im not really a kid, I am actually 21. But my name is Mckey and I am female.

And Im not exactly sure of my diagnosis. When I was 12 I developed childhood-onset schizophrenia, and when I was 17 I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder MDD type. Ive been different all my life (although I am also autistic). And on this day I have been doing much better and am currently being re-diagnosed.

Hearing all this "i dont have any friends so that makes me schiz" is very weird to me. Mainly because I personally prefer to be alone. I always have and when I was 12 It got a whole lot worse. I do have friends, but Id rather entertain myself.

It says in the introduction up top that other schiz disorders are welcomed, and I hope thats true. Ive always have related to the schizoid/schizotypal personalities. And Im curious to how other people think.

I don't know what to classify you as, but honestly after all you have tried it doesn't matter. You have already seen people who are supposed to help you out. What more can you do? Either way, welcome.

Im sorry if you misunderstood me, I wasnt looking for a new diagnosis here. I am currently in the process of getting a new disgnosis with a Psychologist. But what I think you are getting at, I believe that diagnosis isnt as important as treatment. And I am both medicated and in therapy, seeing the people who can help me. And Im stable. Which is all I ask.
