out of body experiences

Postby hc on Tue Sep 15, 2009 5:56 pm

I can remember in elementary school sitting in class and feeling isolated, Like I could look down above the room and see myself separated from my classmates, like there was a circle around me and then a big circle around the rest of the class. I've always felt that way. I am married and have kids, but sometime I feel like I'm behind a fuzzy glass (e.g. shower glass) wall looking at my family. Recently I had a thought that I was like a vampire (only a metaphor) who because of his condition will forever be watching and looking in on the human world, but never being a part of it.

Hi hc,

First, welcome to the forum!

Are you in therapy? Have you discussed this with your therapist?

It might be some form if dissociation, something which is best helped in therapy.

Welcome!

I have lately been feeling very surreal. I must say it is a pleasant surreal. In fact dissociation is common with people with anxiety.
