i currenly have ocd specfically obsessive thoughts to a high degree. it causing me great distress and anxiety and i have it almost 24/7. i dont ave a great appetite and my sleep is highly irregular. I am on effexor but the doctor prescribed olanzapine on a very low dossage. Can anybody give me feedback on this drug and obsessional thoughts

It is used for OCD for augmenting a SSRI. 43.5% of patients responded to it according to one study. It can make you sleepy but that usually wears off.

I dream about days when I can do all those things you mention. 20 minutes later i forgot about it and then no matter how hard I really want to do something about it I forget. I want to finish things I start. I would like to pay bills and be consistent with them instead of run when they show up. I dream a lot to and sometimes I even act on those dreams and don't understand why the get mucked up when they were unfolding nicely.

im on olanzopine, i just took one a few days ago n freaked out cos it made me slurr my words n i basically couldnt get out of bed, tried to play game n i passed out asleep! my psychiatrist told me to take one before i go to bed, its only 5mg, it was to be taken at that time so to help me sleep... but it kept me awake all night i felt wide awake n the morning i felt like i was almost comatose. is this normal? he said it'll go away after a day or two, but i have problems with taking anything new, i tend to think im going to die 
it helped with my mind a lot tho, it took me three days to get over the side effects.
the only thing is i HAVE to take them but im at my boyfriends house n worried if ill end up falling to sleep on the train if i do. what do u think?
