Musical tastes

Postby Piggsylamb on Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:40 pm

I was just think that my taste in music could be linked to Schizotypal.
I listern to most music, I like listerning to gothic music epica, Kamelot, within temptation, nightwish and I can switch to a little pop or techno.

Question is music linked to our mood or are creative thinking?

I like Celtic folk music. I would propose Loreena McKennitt, maybe you will like it too.

Hmm I don't think all schizotypals have a certain taste in music, but I suspect that most schizotypals have an aversion to pop-culture, including pop music. Schizotypals are supposedly odd and different from the norm, and if this is true, it must also be true for taste in music.

I like (very) alternative music, but other than that, it's pretty broad. I like Alternative, Folk, Balkan, Etnotech, Rap, Hiphop, Dancehall, etc.

I agree with aversion to popularity.. I listen to a lot of different music, but I mostly enjoy what is considered indie and folk. bluegrass and acoustic. I was very big into punk for a long time. I still enjoy it every now and then, but my anger has been let go.

I have a CD of hers, she is very good. My father loves her.

I think she is weird enough to give you a diagnose :tongueincheek: Though Hyperballad is very moving, I think.

I like her music a lot... don't like her personally, but her music is moving.

Could completely agree to an aversion to pop. The exception could be David Bowie (at least to me).
Usually like to listen to Dubstep (pretty new style), also Jazz, Funk, something vivid and/or original, alternative.
